Port Wine Pancake Syrup

Ingredients

4 tsp. cornstarch

½ cup water

1½ cup Port Wine
1cup Sugar
2 Tbsp Butter
2 tsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a sauce pan mix water, port wine, cornstarch until smooth.

  2. Add sugar, bring to a boil. Turn down to low heat andlet simmer until think, about 20 mins.

  3. Turn off heat and stir in butter and lemon juice. Let cool for awhile and enjoy.

    *Keeps for 2 weeks in your fridge
    *Makes about 2 cups of syrup.
